9:30am Adult Education-The Disciplines of Lent…In our Ash Wednesday Liturgy we were invited to struggle against everything that leads us away from love of God and neighbors by exercising the Discipline of Lent: repentance, fasting, prayer and works of love. These become the specific occasions and opportunities for spiritual renewal during this Lenten season of renewal. On each Sunday in Lent we will look at a different component of the Discipline of Lent: February 28 – Repentance, March 7 – Fasting, March 14 – Prayer, March 21 - Works of Love. Join us in the Chapel at 9:30am!

12:00pm Second Sunday Lunch for Hungry…Thank you to all those who signed up to help serve this meal on Sunday. Meet downstairs in the fellowship hall at 12noon.

We will meet in the narthex, load up the church van, and then head to Coal Creek Sport Center in Lafayette to bowl. We’ll eat lunch while there and play 2 games, returning to the church at 3pm. $8 covers the cost of lunch, 2 games, and shoe rental. Look for Melanie & Andrew in the church narthex to go.

Resurrection Eggs & Jesse Tree Event for the entire congregation: Sunday, March 21st at 9:15am…Join us for this next Household Ministry Event to create Resurrection Eggs to help teach & observe the last days of Jesus’ life in the 12 days leading to Easter. We’ll create a “Jesse Tree” on which to hang the story reminders contained in the eggs. Cost: $8 covers all supplies. Supplies are limited so please sign up on the back of the blue worship cards no later than THIS Sunday, March 14th. Make checks payable to “Trinity Lutheran Youth” and give to the church office. For those who already have Resurrection Eggs but want to make a Jesse Tree, bring your eggs and join us!

Lily Orders…It’s the time to start thinking about Easter lilies! If you would like to purchase a lily to help decorate the church for Easter Sunday, we will start taking orders on THIS Sunday, March 14th. Look for a stack of order forms in the narthex on Sunday morning. Cost is $9.50 a lily, and they will be available to take home AFTER the 10:30am worship service on Easter, April 4th.

Health Kits for Lutheran World Relief… People who must flee their homes quickly during a disaster do not have time to pack essential items. Lutheran World Relief Health Kits can help these people maintain personal hygiene while living in exile. As a Lenten Discipline, the Afternoon Circle will be collecting items for health kits. Please leave items in the designated box in the narthex or checks may be left with the church office. Make checks payable to Trinity with “Health Kits” on the memo line. LWR’s approximate cost to handle and ship one LWR Health Kit overseas is $2.65. This includes the cost of toothpaste that is added to the kit at the warehouse. The following items are included in one health kit.
(NO TOOTHPASTE, PLEASE)
1 hand towel, dark color
1 washcloth, dark color
