Day Camp Early Registration Deadline…THIS Sunday is the deadline to get your special toy for singing up early for Day Camp and to get an extra $5 off per child. Look for the registration table in the narthex. Day Camp is at Trinity June 28th-July 2nd.

8:00 a.m. Worship in the Chapel…..Beginning Sunday, May 30th, through Labor Day weekend (or until we outgrow the space), the 8:00 am worship services will be held in the Chapel. Look for us there.

9:30am Reading of Faith Statements…This Sunday is Confirmation Sunday where 4 of our young people will affirm the faith of their baptism during the 10:30 worship service. They will be reading their Faith Statements to the congregation at 9:30am in the Chapel, and there will be a cake reception for them immediately after the 10:30 worship service in the narthex. Confirmation will be much of the 10:30am worship service, but we will have our “usual” 8am worship.

9:00am Thrivent Coffee HourTHIS Sunday, members of the Flatirons Chapter for Thrivent Financial, the Lutheran fraternal organization, will be providing our Coffee Hour on Sunday. Look for them in the narthex.

9:15am Special Congregational Meeting…The Church Council is calling a Special Congregational Meeting for Sunday, May 23, 9:15 a.m. for the purpose of considering the expenditure and funding of safety related property repairs and improvements to be done this summer. The repairs and improvements include new boilers, lighting for the sanctuary, ice melting and parking lot repaving. As these costs are not included in the approved budget, a vote by the congregation is required to undertake these projects. Plan to join us! Immediately following the Congregational Meeting, there will be a Casas Informational Meeting for anyone wanting further information on the upcoming mission trip.

The ready to set-out plants will be available in the Narthex between services for 50 cent donation. This year there will be more than a dozen varieties, and you can get a list of the varieties in advance by emailing Beth Soltis at edgeary@comcast.net. Get these plants for yourself, as a gift for a gardening friend, or at 50 cents each, a last minute easily affordable gift for Mother’s Day from the children. The entire price paid for the plants goes to Casas por Cristo trip to Mexico!

Trinity Youth Community Fund Distributions…As a part of THIS Sunday’s Mission Moments, the 8th-12th graders will be awarding grants to 5 nonprofit organizations that they have chosen through the Trinity Youth Community Fund. After reviewing 46 proposals, conducting site visits, they have decided to fund Devereux Cleo Wallace, Hope House, Colorado HAWKS, Laboratory to End Human Trafficking, and The Inn Between. Come celebrate with us!

Flamingo Migration Fundraiser…The high school youth are continuing to raise funds for their 2010 mission trip to lead a Day Camp in Puerto Rico and they need your help! They are doing “Flamingo Migration” during April & May, and there are only 9 spots left! This is a fun opportunity for you to “flamingo” a special occasion (birthday, graduation, etc.) or just for fun throughout the months of April and May!! The youth will put 30 pink flamingos in the yard of your choice (your’s or a friend’s) for just $40. Order forms are in the April Holy Post, Sunday bulletins, or available by contacting Becca directly at trinityboulderyouth@hotmail.com

Celebrate Casas!...All are invited to celebrate Trinity’s commitment to Casas por Cristo at an “all you can eat” taco buffet at Casa Alvarez Restaurant on 30th and Walnut, on May 4th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Adults $12; Children 4-12 - $6, 3 and under - free. Includes non-alcoholic beverage. Look to buy tickets for this event in the narthex on Sunday mornings.

4:30pm Triniator Lock-in…3rd-5th graders, we are having a lock-in THIS Friday! We are meeting at the North Boulder Rec Center at 4:30pm to swim and then have a lock-in at Trinity. Bring $3.50 for swimming and friends are welcome to come! We’ll be finished on Saturday morning at 9am for parent pick-up.

8:30am 8th Grade Confirmation Worship Rehearsal…The 8th graders will be meeting with Pastor Mark to rehearse for THIS Sunday when they lead worship. Please keep these young people in your prayers as they make their final preparations for worship this week.

9:00am Trinity Youth Community Fund Site Visits…8th-12th graders, don’t forget that THIS Saturday is the site visits to see the finalists we selected! We will meet at Trinity at 9am as a few of them are coming here to talk to us directly. We’ll then eat lunch (provided) and visit a few more in the Denver Metro area, and then make our decision of who we will fund! Questions, contact Becca or Melanie

Casas Card Sale…THIS Sunday, Missie Coneybeer will have her beautiful hand-crafted cards and notecards available in the narthex for only $2.00. These normally sell for up to $4.00 each in stores. All proceeds will be used to benefit the July Casas Mission Trip, where we will build 2 homes for families in Juarez, Mexico.

12:00pm Storytime & Potluck Lunch…THIS Sunday, plan to bring a dish to share and stay after the 10:30 worship service to hear Trudy Brendecke share some of her life story with us (she homesteaded in Montana and even worked with General MacArthur). The event will be a potluck lunch and finished at 1pm. All ages welcome, and childcare (a staffed movie) will be available in the Chapel. Join us!

5:00pm ENNNR Gathering…The ENNNRs are gathering at 5pm at the Dugan House to discuss plans for our upcoming summer events. Please bring an appetizer to share and a drink of your choice and join together in this time of fellowship! Everyone is welcome who is Empty Nester, Newly or Nearly Retired!
