THIS Friday, April 2nd: Good Friday
12noon-3pm Ecumenical Worship: The Seven Last Words of Christ…At St. John’s Episcopal Church (14th & Pine). Pastor Mark is preaching the 7th word. This is a “Come as you can, leave when you have to” type of service so feel free to drop in for when you can.
6:30pm Adult Choir Warm-up
7:00pm Good Friday Worship in Trinity’s Sanctuary…Veiling of the Cross and Tenebrae Service (Increasing Darkness)…Childcare provided in Trinity’s nursery during 7pm worship
AFTER Good Friday Worship…We will be setting up the church for Easter morning. Plan to stay after and help with this if you can!

THIS Saturday, April 3rd: Holy Saturday
9:30am Holy Saturday Liturgy…A brief service of reflection on the day Jesus lay in the tomb.
10:00am Easter Breakfast Set-up…All 6th-8th graders are to be at Trinity at 10am to set up for the Easter Breakfast. We’ll be decorating the fellowship hall, doing food prep, and practicing serving others. You’ll be finished at 12:30pm. Remember, this is the deadline to bring your Easter Breakfast food items in!
7:30pm Easter Vigil Worship…Join us for the first Easter celebration. We’ll start in the parking lot before processing into the Chapel for a service by candlelight.

THIS Sunday, April 4th is Easter Sunday. Our worship lessons will be Acts 10:34-43; Psalm 118:1-2, 14-24; 1 Corinthians 15:19-26 and Luke 24:1-12. Be sure to join us for our festive celebration of the Resurrection of Our Lord!

Nursery Available….Due to Easter, the Nursery is open and staffed for both the 8am & 10:30am on Sunday.

Sign Up Continues for Church Picture Directory…Trinity is doing a new Picture Directory with Olan Mills. Pictures will be taken the week of April 19th. Also, since we have had so many folks sign up, we are adding more pictures dates: Tuesday, April 13th & Wednesday, April 14th! Sign up for photo taking slots THIS Sunday and ENDS next Sunday, April 11th, so make sure you get signed up. Look for the table in the narthex or the page in the bulletin for more information.

7:30am-10:15am Easter Breakfast Served by Confirmation Youth…Join us in the fellowship hall at our 6th-8th grade youth serve us Easter Breakfast. We will have pancakes (Blueberry, Chocolate Chip, and Plain), sausages, and yogurt parfaits. The breakfast is a freewill donation and all the funds raised help to send these youth to Confirmation Camp at Rainbow Trail this summer.

7:00pm Lifelight Bible Study…Lifelight continues their study this spring with a study of Ruth and Esther, the only two books of the Bible named for women. Interested in joining them on Mondays at 7pm? Contact Bob Dugan, leader.

April Lunch for the Hungry…The April Lunch for the Homeless falls one week after Easter Sunday this year, on Sunday, April 11. However, we’d still like to make this a special meal for our guests! We plan to serve a sit down dinner and we need your help. They are looking for donations of food: ham, potatoes, vegetables, desserts, and, of course, easter eggs! If you're cooking for Easter Sunday, we hope that you will cook just a little more and deliver it to church on Sunday morning, April 11th – or if delivered prior, please label what it is and place in the refrigerator downstairs (label your dish too). They also need volunteers (more than usual) to help prepare the plates and serve our guests. We are typically done by 2:00 or 2:30pm. There are sign up sheets on the bulletin board in the Narthex for your donations of both food and time. Health Kits for Lutheran World Relief… April 4th, Easter, is the deadline to bring in items for the Health Kits for LWR. Items can be dropped off individually or as complete kits. Valerie Hess’ Holy Land Tour…Trinity’s own Valerie Hess will be leading a tour to Jordan and Israel in February 2011. Brochures about the tour are on the organ console in the sanctuary or in the church office. Questions, please speak to Valerie.
