Receive New Members…This Sunday, Trinity welcomes 31 new members as full participants in our faith community! They will be joining at whatever service they typically attend. However, we will have a New Member Reception in the narthex (with cake) at 9:00am. So, plan to come early or stay late and welcome these new members (look for them to have on a red carnation).
“House of Cards” Sale… THIS Sunday, Missie will have many of her personally made greeting cards for all occasions available in the narthex for a $2 donation per card. All donations will go to the Boulder Mountain Fire Relief Fund being operated by Community Foundation to help those affected by the Four Mile Canyon Fire.
Early Communion Class, Sunday, 11:45am…There will be an Early Communion Class on THIS Sunday for those children whose parents believe they are ready to be full participants at the communion table. The class is designed to have at least one parent participating with their child. Please bring a sack lunch, as well as date of baptism, where baptized, name of sponsors, and one memorable thing about the baptism. Please RSVP to the church office if you are planning on coming so that we may know the age range of participants. Questions can be addressed to Pastor Mark.

Upcoming Events
CHANGE OF DATE: Trunk or Treat & Halloween Carnival, Sunday, October 24th, 5-7pm…Due to the CU Football Game being on the same day and close to the same time as the original date for Trinity’s Halloween Carnival, we have moved our activities to Sunday, October 24th, 5-7pm. We hope everyone will still participate by decorating their trunk for Trunk or Treat in Trinity’s parking lot at 5pm (sign up is on the youth bulletin board in the narthex) and then come inside at 5:30pm for the Halloween Carnival in the church’s fellowship hall. Contact Becca with questions.

Notes
Staff Appreciation Sunday, Oct. 24th…The Personnel committee is requesting simple "thank you notes" addressed to Trinity staff. Please note that there are red boxes with staff names located in the narthex. There are some note cards available to say thank you to the staff, or please bring in a card with a personal message to staff members. We will be honoring our staff with their own appreciation note boxes, at both services on the 24th. Thank you for helping to show Trinity staff how we appreciate their help in making Trinity a special place and a mission outpost in a troubled world!
Accepting Women’s Retreat Registrations…Women & Girls, Trinity is having a Women’s Retreat at the YMCA of the Rockies up in Estes Park on Fri-Sun, November 12-14th. This is your chance to get away for a few days and learn how God loves you so much, and how He can help us love others whom seem impossible to love. Registration deadline is coming up on Sunday, October 24th! Look for purple registration sheets in the narthex and questions can go to Kristy Martinez, Mysti Gulsurd, or Erin Warren, organizers.
Casas Registration Continues…We are now taking registrations for this fall’s Casas Mission Trip, November 20-23rd. We will be building two houses in Juarez, Mexico. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, contact Rudy Deutschmann, Lynn Twietmeyer, or Pastor Mark. Yellow registration forms are in the narthex on the heater.
All Saints Names…As is our custom, the liturgy on All Saints' Sunday (November 7th) will include the Litany of Remembrance during which we will list the names of those who have joined the Church Triumphant. If you would like to have the name of your loved one included, please write the name on the back of the blue worship card. October 31 is the deadline for turning in names.
All Saints Faces… This year we want to surround ourselves with those who have joined the Church Triumphant and are the "cloud of witness" of Hebrews 12. So we invite you to bring to church a picture of your loved one as we make a display of the "cloud of witness" on the side walls of the sanctuary. A couple of things will be helpful as we create this display:
1. pictures only, no frames
2. for safety sake, you may want to bring in a copy of the original
3. write your name on the back of the picture
4. pictures may be brought in starting on Monday, November 1 and will remain up until after worship on November 21
5. each person will be responsible for adding and removing their own picture [tape will be available for you to place your loved one's picture on the display]
We invite and encourage you to be a part of this year's celebration of All Saints. Questions may be addressed to Karen Lamprecht, Melanie Nehls Burow, or Pastor Mark
