7:00pm Luther’s Small Catechism Bible Study: Study of Ten Commandments…Pastor Mark’s bible study on Wednesday nights and Thursday mornings is starting the New Year with a study of the Ten Commandments. You can join them even if you have not done so before, and folks are welcome to drop in or out of the class as the topics are of interest to them. So, consider coming even if you have not done so before!

8:30am Luther’s Small Catechism Bible Study: Study of Ten Commandments…Pastor Mark’s bible study on Wednesday nights and Thursday mornings is starting the New Year with a study of the Ten Commandments. You can join them even if you have not done so before, and folks are welcome to drop in or out of the class as the topics are of interest to them. So, consider coming even if you have not done so before!

THIS Saturday, January 8th
4:30pm Worship & Common Prayer…Come bathe in the presence of God by the rivers of community and liturgy. A monthly worship of slow, spacious and intimate time in Trinity's Chapel settling into God's love. Worship will be coordinated by Emily Barnak and Casey Burnett. For more information you may speak with either of them.

THIS Sunday, January 9th is the First Sunday After Epiphany & the Baptism of Our Lord. Our worship lessons will be Isaiah 42:1-9; Psalm 29; Acts 10:34-43 and Matthew 3:13-17.

Deadline for Annual Report Contributions…THIS Sunday is the deadline to turn in items for the Annual Report of 2010 Ministries at Trinity. Any questions about this, please speak to Melanie in the church office.
9:15am Sunday School Opening…Sunday School resumes THIS Sunday with Opening at 9:15am in the sanctuary & classes downstairs beginning at 9:30am.
9:15am Adult Education: Prelude & Prep for Discernment Process…How do we prepare ourselves as a congregation to enter our 10 session discernment process to determine whether we as a congregation will "recognize and support lifelong, monogamous, same gender relationships and hold them publicly accountable?” Two ways. 1) to have a conversation and discussion on what it means to be the Body of Christ called "Trinity Lutheran Church," and 2) to have a discussion and conversation on how we hold this process and our faith community in prayer. This Sunday’s topic is, “Who Are We as the Body of Christ?”
12:00pm Second Sunday Lunch for the Hungry…THIS Sunday, Trinity will be serving a hot lunch for those in need, and we need your help! As of today, we have 2 volunteers to help and we need at least 8-10. If you can consider staying after church from 12noon-2pm to help with this very important ministry, please RSVP back to the church office by replying to this email. Questions, contact the Dennis & Diana Cahalan Family, who are coordinating this month’s lunch. Thanks for helping to make life different for others!
12:00pm Daring Disciples Going Ice Skating…All K-2nd graders, plan to be at Trinity at 12noon on Sunday for lunch (provided) in the narthex and time together to go ice skating at Boulder One Plaza’s rink. Cost is $5 to skate and friends are welcome to join us! Questions, contact Becca.

7:00pm Lifelight Bible Study….Lifelight is studying the book of Exodus this winter and spring. Class began on Monday, January 3rd, but you can still join them! Contact Bob Dugan with any questions or for class materials.

Notes
Christmas Poinsettias…There are still quite a few poinsettias left from Trinity’s Christmas celebration. Even if you didn’t order one, please consider taking one with you to decorate your home or share it with an older neighbor or friend!
Pick Up Offering Envelopes… Please pick up your 2011 Weekly Offering envelopes off the table in the narthex. It will save us from mailing them to you! Also, if you would like the convenience of having your tithes & offerings taken directly out of your bank account at no cost to you, or want to change your Simply Giving amount, please talk to Phyllis Wahlfeldt, Financial Secretary, or notify the church office.
Save The Date: Sunday, January 23rd….On Sunday, January 23rd, the Rocky Mountain Synod’s bishop, Allan Bjornberg will be preaching at both services and leading our discussion about the Discernment Process between the services at 9:15am. Mark your calendars now and plan to join us!
