Synod Assembly in Colorado Springs…Becca Sager, Don Lamprecht, and Pastor Mark are voting delegates from Trinity at the Synod Assembly in Colorado Springs this week. Don will be posting some of his personal “musings” about the assembly on his blog at: http://rmsa2011.blogspot.com/. In addition, Pastor Gene will be recognized for 60 years of ordained ministry. Please keep the entire Synod Assembly in your prayers as it runs through Saturday, May 14th.

THIS Friday, May 13th
6:00pm Christ’s Crew Boys & Girls Lock-in…All 6th-8th graders, we will meet at Trinity at 6pm on Friday for dinner together (provided), and then the girls will go to the Burow condo and the boys will go to the church for our separate lock-ins. We’ll all meet back up at the church at 9:30am on Saturday for Parent Pick-up. Join us for this fun year-end event! Questions, contact Becca.

THIS Sunday, May 15th is the Fourth Sunday of Easter. Our worship lessons will be Acts 2:42-47; Psalm 23; 1 Peter 2: 19-25 and John 10:1-10.

Holy Post Deadline…THIS Sunday is the deadline to contribute anything to the June Holy Post newsletter. Please make sure all of those items are into the church office by the end of the day.

Casas House of Cards…Support the Casas por Cristo house building project by purchasing handmade cards and notecards on THIS Sunday, May 15th & Sunday, May 22nd. These cards sell for $4.50 in stores, and are available for a $2.25 donation. The entire donation for the cards goes to Casas por Cristo mission to Mexico!

9:15am & 11:45am: Casas Information Meetings…If you are thinking of going on the July Casas Mission Trip, or you just want to learn more, come to one of these informational meetings on Sunday to learn specifics of cost, timing, transportation options, etc. 9:15am is in the Conference Room, 11:45am is in the Chapel.

9:20am Sunday School Year End Celebration…Everyone is invited to join the Sunday School Youth and their parents in the fellowship hall on Sunday for the Year End Celebration. There will be food, crafts, puppets, songs, and more. Sunday School Teachers are asked to join us in the fellowship hall at 9:50am.

9:30am Adult Education: Looking at a Harmony of the Easter Texts…THIS Sunday, there is again no Discernment Event. Instead, join Pastor Mark for bible study at 9:30am in the Chapel to continue comparing the four gospel accounts of the resurrection of Jesus.

12:00pm LOFT Graduation Brunch…All of LOFT, their families, and those graduating from high school this year are invited to a LOFT Graduation Brunch THIS Sunday at 12noon in the fellowship hall as we celebrate your accomplishments!

Notes
Now Taking Day Camp Registrations…We are now taking registrations for youth for Trinity’s Day Camp on June 27-July 1st. Youth must have completed kindergarten-5th grade to register. Registration forms are on Trinity’s website (www.trinityboulder.org) or available in the narthex on Sunday mornings. Cost is $80/child if you register by May 29th, and you’ll get a cool bendy flamingo, too. After May 29th, the cost goes up to $85/child, and a $5 sibling discount is available, too.

Special Congregational Meeting, May 22nd at 12noon…The Church Council has called a Special Congregational Meeting for Sunday, May 22nd at 12noon for the purpose of considering whether Trinity “will recognize, support, and hold publicly accounting lifelong monogamous, same-gender relationships.” Food and childcare will be provided. All members should have received information about this meeting in the mail recently, including all history and background leading up to this. Any questions about this, please contact Church Council, Discernment Committee, or Pastor Mark.

Church Picnic on Sunday, June 5th…Mark your calendars now and plan to join us at North Boulder Park at 8th and Dellwood (by Boulder Community Hospital) for our Trinity Church Picnic on Sunday, June 5th. We’ll have worship at 10:30 a.m. and the picnic begins at 11:30 a.m. Drinks, Hot Dogs & Hamburgers provided. Bring chairs, blanket, table service, & a dish to share. There will be games for all ages after lunch, too. Plan to join us!

Casas Registration for July 9-12th…We are now taking registrations for our summer Casas Mission Trip, July 9th-12th. We have two houses reserved for our July Casas trip. We will meet in El Paso the evening of Saturday, July 9; cross the border early on Sunday; build Sunday and Monday; bless the families and their new houses Monday afternoon; host a dinner for the families and neighbors of Tierre de Amor Monday evening; and return to the USA Tuesday morning and leave for home. Yellow registration forms are available in the narthex on the heater. An informational meeting will be held THIS Sunday, May 15th for anyone with questions.

Church Campout, August 5-7th…Join other Trinity campers for a weekend of fun and fellowship in God’s beautiful outdoors in Leadville, Colorado. We have initially reserved 19 sites. If you would like to reserve one of those spots, please fill out a green Registration Form (in the Narthex), attach your $45.00 reservation fee to the form, and turn it in to the church office (on Melanie's desk) by THIS Sunday, May 15th. Checks can be made payable to Trinity Lutheran, write “Campout” on the memo line.
