Sunday Notes
Ethiopian Necklace Mission Group Here…Trinity will once again be hosting the Ethiopian Necklace Mission Group. Their jewelry, baskets, and scarves will be available in the narthex. 100% of proceeds goes to support women and their families in Ethiopia.
9:30 Adult Education: Gospel of Matthew…The Gospel readings for Sunday mornings this church year will come primarily from the Gospel of Matthew. As we hear the story and words of Jesus through the lens of Matthew, some of the things we ask are: Who was Matthew? When did he write his gospel? To whom and for whom did he write? What was his purpose? What are his themes? Come be part of the discussion on Sunday at 9:30am in the Chapel.
12:00pm Second Sunday Christmas Lunch…Thank you to everyone who has signed up to help provide food for or serve this meal! Please plan to have your dishes at Trinity on THIS Sunday morning. Any questions, contact Elizabeth Erhardt, coordinator.

Monday, December 13th
Work on Trinity’s Snowmelt System in Alleyway Begins…Starting THIS Monday, December 13th, Trinity’s alley will be torn up and roped off for the week while the new Snowmelt system is installed. During this time, you will need to enter Trinity through the original doors off Broadway Street (doors by the elevator & the church office). Signs will be in place outside to direct you accordingly. From Monday, December 13th-Wednesday, December 22nd, you will be able to drive into the alley off of Broadway Street, but you will need to immediately drive north into the lot (you will not be able head directly east through the alley towards the Baptist church). Alternatively, we recommend using the Mapleton Street entrances to the parking lot during this time. Work should be completed by Wednesday, December 15th but the area will remain barricaded off to dry completely until Sunday, December 19th. On that date, it will reopen for pedestrian traffic (walking into the church building). The alley will not be fully open for driving on until Wednesday, December 22nd. Thank you for your cooperation and flexibility during this time of work.

NEXT Wednesday, December 15th
Holy Post Deadline…With the busy times of this holiday season, don’t forget to turn in anything you’d like included in the January 2011 Holy Post newsletter by NEXT Wednesday, December 15th.

Notes
Faith Commitment (Pledge) Cards…If you missed turning in your green Faith Commitment Card last Sunday, December 5th, you can still turn those in. Drop them in the offering plate on Sunday or turn them into the church office. Extra copies of the cards are available in the narthex, too, if needed.

Pick Up Offering Envelopes… You can now pick up 2011 Weekly Offering envelopes off the table in the narthex. If you have monthly envelopes, the ones you already have continue into 2011. If you would like to change from weekly to monthly or monthly to weekly, or would like to change your Simply Giving amount, please notify the church office ASAP.

Christmas Tree Ornaments…As you know, two of our families, the Breeds and the Langes, were affected by the 4-Mile Canyon Fire. The Breeds lost their house and the Langes' house sustained considerable smoke and heat damage. Both families will be living away from their home this Christmas. You are invited to help bless their Christmas celebration by gifting them with a Christmas ornament for their tree. There are two boxes in the narthex until Sunday December 19th, each with either "Breed" or "Lange" written on it. Please wrap your ornament gift, label it, and place it in the respective box. Thanks for your participation.

Caroling for Homebound…We are now collecting items for the goody bags we pass out while Caroling to the Homebound. Donations of teas, hot chocolate packets, fruits, homemade goodies, etc are all welcome. Place items in the box on the table in the narthex by Sunday, December 19th. Plan to then join us on December 19th at 5:45pm for caroling! Meet at Trinity.

Poinsettia Orders…Celebrate this holy season by purchasing poinsettias to share with your Trinity family. Order forms are on the back of the worship card found in the Sunday bulletins through December 19th. Cost is $8.00 each. Poinsettias will be used in the church through Christmas Day worship and available for pick up after that.
